You get to know everything about it. Then, if you think it works out, you can give it a try. Meet the experts in a particular field or concept. Search over the internet for relevant information.
Choice:
If you how things work, there is a very good chance of making a perfect choice.
Result:
This is ultimate but not in your hands. You just have to try everything. I am not saying that you do not get the desired result. I say that it ultimately comes, sometimes with a lot of surprise, yielding more than what you have expected.
